The University of Cincinnati's Interior Design program has earned national distinction through two of its students this past week as recipients of two nationally competitive scholarships from the Planning and Visual Education Partnership. Sara Willhoite (4th yr) and Jocelyn Williams (3rd yr) will be recognized on Tuesday March 24th, at the Association for Retail Environments Annual Design Awards in Las Vegas in front of an international audience of over 500 retail industry professionals. As the number one rated program by Deans in the DesignIntelligence 2015 rankings, the Interior Design Faculty take great pride in the recognition our efforts and our students bring back to UC.

Hollywood, Fla. (March 10, 2015)— The Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2015 PAVE Scholarship, funded by Mulvanny G2, which recognizes and supports leadership potential in the field of retail design through a $3,000 award. This year’s recipient is Sara Willhoite of the University of Cincinnati.

PAVE Director Ray Ehscheid said, “Sara writes passionately and persuasively, with wonderful storytelling and enough romance to frame her featured project without diluting her strong design intuition and personal drive. Her mature rendering style was characterized by a clever usage of elements and good dialogue to support the detail of her project. Sara has a bright future in this industry and the award is well-deserved.”
