ULTA Expands to Rural Markets

ULTA Salon, Cosmetics, and Fragrance Inc. (Bolingbrook, Ill.) announced its upcoming expansion in Pikeville, Ky. with more rural stores planned. The rural expansion also brings a smaller format at half the size of the typical ULTA store.

Shopping Centers Today reports that the move follows the company’s successful experiment in small town retail last year, when two rural stores opened in smaller than average markets.

ULTA has opened 20 new stores in the last quarter and has plans for 100 more locations this year.
