Hires Steve Murray as new unit global president

Urban Outfitters Inc. (Philadelphia) has named Steve Murray as global president of its namesake brand. Murray will replace Tedford Marlow, who is retiring in April after nine years with the teen-based retailer.
Murray was previously president of clothing maker VF Corp.'s Action Sports coalition, overseeing the company's Vans and Reef brands.
