Wanting to launch a successful expansion into Thailand’s eyewear market, which lacked affordable but chic options, The Jaspal Group, one of the largest fashion groups in Thailand, with the help of Whitespace created a new eyewear brand and environment called V Eyewear. Having recently launched their third retail branch, V Eyewear has established its success in Bangkok’s eyewear market.

V Eyewear was designed to feel like minimalist loft interiors combined with a modern take on vintage styles. The interior’s color palette was kept purposefully simple, using black and white along with the natural brown tones from the leather and wood fixtures. A large central display table made of white marble expresses sophistication while providing a casual way of displaying eyewear. In order for guests to feel free to try on a variety of frames, open topped wooden cabinets were designed to display their products instead of locked glass cabinets. Adding to the modern vintage feel, hanging shelving and mirrors use sturdy leather straps arranged in a V shape, drawing from their logo.

Minimal use of environmental graphics such as large-scale black and white photography and strategic use of marketing materials convey a strong and focused message. The end result is a fashionable eyewear chain that feels like a specialty optical shop, providing a professional and intimate relationship between clientele and staff.
