ISP/VM+SD Store Design Competition Winner
Vince & Joe’s is a specialty food shop rooted in a passion for food, heirloom recipes and diverse specialty products in an unpretentious setting. The challenge for designers was transferring those values into a space double the size of the previous one.
The bowed-glass storefront connects the interior and exterior, which has a large plaza for outdoor displays and seating. Merchandise fixtures on the interior radiate from the center, service departments are arrayed around the perimeter, and specialty offerings on islands invite a sense of discovery. Exposed ceilings, track lighting and concrete floors help put the emphasis on the colorful products.
