The web site for the VM+SD International Retail Design Conference (IRDC) has been updated with new information. An updated list of session descriptions and speaker biographies are available at www.irdconline.com.

Register by July 31, 2004 and enjoy $100 off conference registration.

Widely known as retail design's premier educational event, IRDC takes place September 15-17, 2004, at the Loews Hotel located in the fashionable South Beach district of Miami Beach, Florida.

General sessions will be led by Christian Davies, vp and creative director at FRCH Design Worldwide, who will present “Retail Change, Version 2.0”; Rudy Javosky, senior vp, design and construction, Federated Department Stores, and Kevin Roche, partner, RYA, who will discuss the “Socially Relevant Department Store”; and Rob Forbes, founder and chief design officer of Design Within Reach, who will recount his initiative to bring high design to the mass market.

In addition, as part of the presentation of the 2004 VM+SD/Peter Glen Retailer of the Year Award, the winning retailer will talk about how it achieved success and its plans for the future.

Comprised of 15 breakout sessions, daily keynote presentations, an off-site retail tour and several social events, IRDC allows those responsible for creating the retail environment – retailers, store planners, designers and suppliers – to come together for three days of learning, interaction and networking.
