VMSD Names Jennifer Acevedo New Editor-in-Chief

Acevedo will manage the editorial team and guide content development for the entire VMSD portfolio

ST Media Group International Inc. announces the appointment of Jennifer Acevedo to editor-in-chief of VMSD, the leading media brand serving store planners, visual merchandisers and other design executives in the retail industry. As editor-in-chief, Acevedo will manage the editorial team and guide content development for the entire VMSD portfolio including:

  • VMSD, the leading retail design magazine for more than 118 years
  • VMSD.com (with more than 33,000 visits monthly), the weekly VMSD Retail Pulse e-newsletter, and other e-media extensions of the VMSD brand
  • The International Retail Design Conference, the leading educational and networking event for store-design professionals, now in its 16th year, as well as other VMSD sponsored educational events

“Jennifer brings a very strong strategic mindset to VMSD, having led brands designed for C-level retail executives as well as marketing executives at major design firms and consumer product manufacturers,” said Steve Duccilli, senior vp of content for ST Media Group Intl. “She also has excellent experience in developing content for live events such as conferences and webinars. She’ll make an immediate contribution to the International Retail Design Conference and our other education activities.”

Acevedo will lead a talented editorial team that includes Managing Editor Carly Hagedon, Associate Editor Kaileigh Peyton, Art Director Don Heyl, Editorial Advisor/New York Editor Eric Feigenbaum, European Editor John Ryan, and more than 50 of the industry’s leading designers on the VMSD editorial advisory board.

Prior to joining ST Media Group, Acevedo was editor-in-chief of Retail Leader, a Stagnito Media Brand serving top executives in the food retailing industry. Previously, she was editor-in-chief of Brand Packaging, where she chaired and helped to launch the Packaging that Sells conference. Acevedo is a graduate of Auburn University (Auburn, Ala.).
