WD Partners (Dublin, Ohio), a design and development firm for stores and restaurants, announced the following promotions in its design & brand group: Bob Welty, to executive director; Allison Westrick and Eric Daniel, to executive creative director; Kimberly Orr, Joel Limes, Brian Bucher and Chad Niehaus, to creative director.

The Andersons Inc. (Maumee, Ohio), an operator of six big-box stores and a specialty food market in Ohio, has named Daniel Anderson president of its retail group and vp, corporate operations services.

BUSINESS BRIEFS

Walls + Forms (Dallas), a designer, fabricator and distributor of display components and accessories, has been appointed exclusive North American partner for the Praestegaard Modular Shop System from Denmark.

LG Corp. (Seoul, South Korea) has announced the following internal realignment of two U.S. subsidiaries: its LG Chem Ltd. unit has been spun off to create LG Hausys America Inc., which will represent the company’s industrial materials division for commercial and residential construction materials, everyday materials, auto parts and fabrics in North America. LG Hausys Floors, the company’s resilient floor-covering division, will join with LG’s window frame, decorative film and countertop divisions, all under the new LG Hausys brand. As part of the realignment, LG Hausys Floors will relocate its U.S. headquarters from Englewood Cliffs, N.J., to Atlanta in August.

HELPING OUT

Walmart Stores Inc. (Bentonville, Ark.) has awarded a $20,000 grant to Corvallis High School in Corvallis, Ore., for winning the retailer’s “America's Most Eco-Friendly School” challenge. The school will use the grant to further its eco-friendly initiatives.
