Wet Seal of Approval

Susan Powers, until recently vp of retail store operations for BCBG Max Azria (Vernon, Calif.), has been named vp, director of stores, by Wet Seal Inc. (Foothills Ranch, Calif.).

Powers'background also includes stints as a regional director for the Bath and Body Works division of The Limited Inc. (Columbus, Ohio) and for Garden Botanika, the Seattle-based cosmetics retailer that closed its operation in early 2001.

Wet Seal operates 578 Wet Seal/Contempo Casuals, Arden B. stores and Zutopia stores in 44 states selling contemporary apparel and accessory items.
