WorldWide Retail Exchange Gets Wider

Longs Drugs, Publix join global business exchange

Longs Drug Stores (Walnut Creek, Calif.) has become the newest member of the WorldWide Retail Exchange, joining other newcomer Publix, as well as Kesko, Seibu Department Stores and Woolworth's Australia. The WWRE is a web-based business-to-business exchange designed to facilitate and simplify trading between retailers and their suppliers and distributors. Among the U.S. companies already members are Albertson's, Best Buy, CVS, Gap Inc., JCPenney, Kmart, Rite Aid, Safeway, Target and Walgreens.
