Marks milestone with new location in Saugus, Mass.
The Yankee Candle Co. Inc. (South Deerfield, Mass.) opened the doors on its 500th retail store, located at the Square One Mall in Saugus, Mass. "Yankee Candle has been based in Massachusetts since we got our start more than four decades ago, and we feel it is very fitting that this exciting event is taking place here in our home state," says Harlan Kent, Yankee Candle's ceo.
Stephen Farley, president of the retail division, adds, "We continue to look forward to more growth in Massachusetts and elsewhere."
This Saugus location is the 34th Yankee Candle store in Massachusetts. The candle manufacturer and retailer operates 19,200 stores, including franchise and company owned and operated locations.
