Overview:
Bloomingdale's is seeking a highly creative individual to join our Visual team . As a Visual Merchandiser, you help create the customer's first impression of Bloomingdale's. Your responsibilities will include setting up the floor displays, cosmetic displays and mannequin presentation to tell a "merchandise story", reflect a trend or simply entice the customer to buy. If you have a natural finesse for color, balance and composition, we would really like to meet you.
Key Accountabilities:
Producing novel and unique concepts for merchandise presentation
Producing quality work in a consistent, timely and organized manner
Completing projects on time and being responsible for the project from start to finish
Understanding and upholding Bloomingdale's high standards of presentation as they apply to merchandising the selling floor
Housekeeping - Caring for department's tools, supplies, workshop and merchandise
Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Working in a safe manner with minimum disruption to the selling process
Skills Summary:
Fashion display background
Creative and have strong experience in retail merchandising in ready-to-wear or home
Related experience in retail, design or fashion is desirable
Highly organized
Excellent communication skills
Proactive self-starter
Flexibility with schedule, dependent upon business needs
