Overview:
Drive traffic, conversion, and other critical store KPI’s through creating, executing, and maintaining compelling and consistent retail store environments. Collaborate with various partners to ensure creative and messaging is ‘on brand’ at all levels of retail presentation: in concept stores, outlet stores, and franchise stores. Lead the design, planning and execution of visual direction for all Concept stores. Direct and manage the Visual Merchandise Coordinator to plan, prepare, and communicate visual presentation and directives for all Value stores.

Responsibilities:
Collaboration & Creative

•Works directly with the Brand(s) and Retail merchants to understand product features/benefits, assortment direction, product stories, brand stories, and business focus for presentation in stores.
•Works directly with brand marketing departments to extract brand imaging and DNA to create visual direction for stores and global partners.
•Collaborate with Brand and e-Commerce teams to plan store messaging to support calendar, maintain customer, drive traffic and meet sales goals.
•Collaborate with partners and vendors to design and produce in store fixtures and systems for merchandise and visual presentation.
•Work directly with retail creative team to design and plan marketing, signage and presentation materials; presents this creative to Director and Senior Leaders for approval.
•Develops working relationships and builds a network of professional contacts and resources.
Planning & Direction

•Provides daily, weekly, and long range direction to company owned stores and franchise stores in all visual and messaging initiatives.
•Develops retail store presentation calendars for window and in store feature changes to drive traffic and support retail sales goals.
•Provides direction to operations teams and franchise teams to execute store presentation calendars.
•Ensures ongoing marketing initiatives are reflected in store visual direction.
•Strategizes to scale Brand messaging and merchandising appropriate to store type and capacity.
•Co-lead store opening teams with comprehensive presentation direction and guidelines. Collaborate with construction team and vendors for new store openings and store renovations. As needed, travel to store to assist with store opening or renovation.
•Details special needs and facilitates the creation of direction, resources, and/or materials to achieve visual effects that support the brand images at retail.
•Leads production and implementation to ensure consistency in execution at the store level.
Track, Report, & Analyze

•Monitors and tracks progress and process for all retail presentation calendar deliverables.
•Works with merchants and analysts to understand impact of window presentation to drive traffic; tracks and reports on results. Suggests changes and improvements.
•Works directly with retail merchants to maximize space and sales productivity in merchandise presentation.
•Meets budgets; tracks and reports on costs for all presentation calendar deliverables and construction activities.
Management of Others

•Direct and manage the Visual Merchandise Coordinator to plan, prepare, and communicate merchandising, visual presentation and directives for value stores.
•Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
•Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
•4+ years Visual retail merchandising, store design – preferably in a fast-paced retail organization
•Brick and mortar visual presentation experience
•Previous experience in large, cross-functional organizations
•Facilitation Skills
•Focused experience in achieving quality work under intense deadlines
•Excellence in problem-solving initiatives, decision-making, prioritization and organization skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving initiatives, decision-making, prioritization and organization skills
•Computer skills with proficiency in MAC, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop products
•Understands floor plans and construction documents.
•CAD or other space/visual planning software experience preferred
•Retail Store Experience – either working directly in stores or in stores through a visual merchandising role
