VISUAL MERCHANDISING MANAGER (Newport, RI)
$30,000-45,000 annually based on experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the NEX Visual Merchandising Program which includes implementation of retail and services specialty shops, utilization of retail/services areas relating to store layout and merchandise display, technical signing, and staff development.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate should have a minimum of four years retail experience and/or education as noted below:
Three years experience which was gained in administrative, technical or other responsible work which enabled the applicant to gain an understanding of visual merchandising techniques and methods; and skill in the area of attractive display, merchandise presentation and in-store signing. One year of related academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience, up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor's degree for 3 years of general experience.
AND
One year progressively responsible experience which provided a knowledge of visual merchandising techniques and practices; display and presentation of merchandise and signing; maintaining store equipment and materials; layout and installation of fixtures; and providing technical assistance; or similar work which demonstrated the knowledge, skills and abilities of visual merchandising, display and in-store signing.

Although I am not planning (and unable) to to apply for this job, I liked the benefits - great conditions indeed, so I am pretty sure that many people would love to get this job. Regardless of it, I have been to Rhode Island and it's such a wonderful city - I had fun at the grill party with my friends, I think they used the george foreman grill or perhaps a grill of another company, but the food was terrific and the atmosphere as well.
