NHL Powered by Reebok
The only thing missing is the fights.

NHL Powered by Reebok

Sure, Canadians may be the ultimate hockey fans. But the interactive 6700-square-foot NHL Powered by Reebok store in New York translates the fury of the ice to the U.S. Designed by Gensler (New York), the shop has more game- and arena-oriented architecture, materials and fixtures than you can shake a hockey stick at.

The space is expansive, to give the feel of a real hockey stadium. Entering through the glass exterior, shoppers first experience a 17-foot-tall, five-foot-wide video wall, anchored by steel and topped with a rotating NHL shield logo. A white epoxy floor resembles ice, while custom stainless-steel and maple fixtures suggest skate blades and sticks. To complete the hockey theme, a sculpture containing more than 400 sticks hangs above the cashwrap. The sculpture also contains several 50-inch flat screen monitors that show clips and images from games to connect fans to the energy of the sport.
