A pair of specialty brands has detailed their expansion plans for the coming year. They are:

* 16 Handles (New York), which opened eight new locations across four states – in New York, Texas, South Carolina and Florida – in 2025, and heads into the new year with 32 new stores under development. Once those locales open, the upscale frozen yogurt and dessert franchise will have 67 outlets. (The chain’s name refers to the number of self-serve yogurt flavors available at any time at each store.)

* The Spice & Tea Exchange (St. Augustine, Fla.), which opened eight new stores last year and plans the same number in 2026. The coming year’s expansion target will bring the brand’s total number of locations to 106.
