2000 Top 50 Fixture Manufacturers

Read our survey of 1999 revenues.

Consolidation may have the fixture industry feeling a tad unsettled, but the fact is, there seems to be enough work to go around for all fixture companies, big and small. According to the National Association of Store Fixture Manufacturers (NASFM), the more-than-$8.5 billion industry is thriving. But fierce competition is cutting into profits, says Klein Merriman, the association's executive director.

In VM+SD magazine's seventh-annual fixture survey, we line up more than 350 fixture manufacturers and suppliers to give you, the reader, an updated, easy-to-use reference. The Top 50 Fixture Manufacturers list is based on 1999 fixture sales given by manufacturers who responded to our survey.

The survey was sent to nearly 1700 fixture manufacturers and suppliers, which were culled from the VM+SD Buyers'Guide, in-house databases and industry directories. All information presented on these pages was provided by the companies, with the exception of several companies in the alphabetical list, as noted. Some companies provided manufacturing space, capabilities and product information, but omitted 1999 revenues. These companies are included only in the alphabetical listing.

While sales figures alone were used to gauge a company's ranking as a fixture producer, VM+SD recognizes that market objectives are not necessarily uniform and that size does not always determine a company's contribution to or impact on the industry.

All companies were asked to provide their total fixturing sales for 1999. However, some companies, including some of the industry's largest fixture producers, opted for revenue confidentiality. Those companies are not listed among the Top 50 but are included in the alphabetical directory.
