C-store giant gains in June, helped by gasoline sales increases

7-Eleven, Inc. (Dallas) has reported a 5.6 percent increase in total merchandise sales for June 2004. Same-store sales increased 5.5 percent. (With the 34.4 percent increase in gasoline sales for the month, total sales were up 14.1 percent.)

Year to date, merchandise sales are up 7.4 percent over a year ago, and same-store merchandise sales are up 6.6 percent. Gasoline sales are up 21.2 percent and average gallons sold per store have increased 6.2 percent.
