Despite its much-publicized troubles and executive defections, Amazon.com Inc. is not about to be taken over by Wal-Mart Stores or some other large company as rumored, insists CEO Jeff Bezos. CNBC had aired reports speculating on Amazon's future, but Bezos said his company is financially healthy, with more than $900 million in cash.
