With Andy Jassy taking the reins from Jeff Bezos at Amazon this week, Yahoo Finance identified three main challenges the former now faces as the newly minted CEO of the Seattle-based e-commerce giant.

Most notably, the article warns of looming antitrust suits. “Amazon has been under siege from different quarters,” says, Ari Ginsberg, professor at the NYU Stern School of Business. “Probably, the most important at this point is the antitrust regulation issue, because that threatens the continued stability and growth of Amazon as this huge corporation.”

Then there’s the company’s labor relations problem as it attempts to fight perceptions that its warehouse workers are treated unfairly. Another professor quoted in the article said he expects a continued drive toward unionization.

Finally, Amazon faces strengthening competition in the cloud sector from Google and Microsoft. It’s also playing catch-up as an online grocer, with both Walmart and Instacart firmly controlling that space with 31 percent and 30 percent market share, respectively.
