American Apparel (Los Angeles) has opened a new store in Leeds, England, in the Briggate shopping district. The 2922-square-foot location features an open layout with hardwood floors and mirrored ceiling tiles. Large bay windows, housing American Apparel's signature mannequins and graphics, are located on either side of the store’s inset entrance, while above the store is one of the largest American Apparel logos in Europe.

“This is an amazing, nearly 800-year-old historic shopping district that we're lucky to be in,” says Marsha Brady, a creative director for American Apparel. “When the right location came up here, we didn't hesitate to take it.”

The store sells American Apparel staples, including basic t-shirts, sweatshirts and underwear, as well as the company's new products like the Lace Tee, Riding Pant and Ottoman Jacket.

The vertically integrated manufacturer, distributor, and retailer operates 280 retail stores in 20 countries, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, U.K., Ireland, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Israel, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and China.
