American Apparel Expected to Shutter UK Stores

Others throughout Europe

Published

on

It is expected that American Apparel (Los Angeles) will be shuttering all of its stores in the U.K. and some others throughout Europe after the holidays.

The company is currently up for sale but its foreign operations are not a part of that sale. Consequently, it is expected to wind down its operations abroad, which have already included ceasing to ship new inventory to its U.K. stores. Also, the company has appointed the accounting company KPGM (Amstelveen, Netherlands) to be administrator in charge of its retail and wholesale business in Britain, reports the Los Angeles Times.
