Draper James (Nashville), which describes itself as “a classic American lifestyle brand” that’s the brainchild of actress Reese Witherspoon, has returned to Houston. Located in The Woodlands Town Center, the new apparel boutique joins the brand’s two Nashville stores: a flagship on 12 South and a boutique at Nashville International Airport.

According to published reports, Draper James previously had a store in the Houston Galleria that opened in fall 2021; the date it closed was not immediately available. At the time of the first Houston opening, the chain also had locations in Louisville, Ky., and Atlanta, and those locations also subsequently closed.

The new store offers the brand’s signature ready-to-wear, accessories and lifestyle gifts, “each infused with the joyful, distinctly Americana spirit that defines Draper James,” the retailer said in a news release. “Guests will also find a curated selection of home and lifestyle products, including an assortment from Reese’s Book Club — bringing together fashion, community and storytelling under one roof.”

Said Draper James CEO Jeannie Yoo: “We’re thrilled to open our new Draper James store in The Woodlands, just in time for the holidays. Houston has always welcomed us with such Southern hospitality, and we’re excited to make our home in this beautiful center. We look forward to serving this vibrant community with our signature style and charm.”

Founded by Witherspoon in 2015, the brand is named after her grandparents, “who taught her everything she knows about gracious Southern living,” the release notes.
