Bebe Closing Stores

Retailer will close brick-and-mortar stores to grow online business

Bebe (Brisbane, Calif.) is reportedly planning to close its stores in an effort to turn the company around. Instead, the company will focus on growing the brand as an online business, reports Bloomberg.

As of right now, the company is not looking to declare bankruptcy. However, the company will consider that route if it cannot get out of its leases or if landlords are not willing to negotiate.

This move follows four years of losses for the company, which has cost the company roughly $200 million. Currently, the company has no significant debt.
