Circuit City Stores Inc. (Richmond, Va.) and Cellco Partnership (Bedminster, N.J.) have signed an exclusive agreement to create a Verizon Wireless store within each of more than 570 Circuit City Superstores around the country.

Cellco, which does business as Verizon Wireless, is a joint venture between Verizon Communications Inc. (New York) and Vodafone Group (West Berkshire, U.K.).

Verizon will operate the stores and be responsible for the employees, wireless and wireless-related inventory, displays and signage.

The rollout will begin in September and will be completed by November. Verizon Wireless signs will be displayed on the exterior of each Circuit City Superstore that has a Verizon store inside.
