Charming Shoppes Names Catherine’s Brand President

Carol Williams is a former May Co. and Jacobson’s executive

Charming Shoppes Inc. (Bensalem, Pa.) has named Carol Williams president of its Catherine’s Plus Sizes brand and Jeffrey Elliott president of its Charming Outlets division. Both appointments are effective immediately. Williams will report to chairman and interim ceo Alan Rosskamm. Elliott will report to chief operating officer Joe Baron.

Williams was president of May Department Stores International from 2002 through 2006. She had also been president and ceo of Jacobson Stores. Elliott had been senior vp and general merchandise manager of the outlets division, which includes the Lane Bryant Petite Sophisticate outlet chains, since 2006.
