Chief merchandising officer fired for ethical breaches

Aeropostale Inc. (New York) has fired its chief merchandising officer, Christopher Finazzo, after an independent investigation found the executive had had personal ownership in affiliates of one of the retailer's primary vendors, shirt manufacturer South Bay Apparel Inc. (Calverton, N.Y.).

Aeropostale ceo Julian Geiger will take over Finazzo's responsibilities while the company searches for a replacement.
