Club Monaco Names New VP of its Caban Division

Club Monaco (Toronto) has named former Gap design chief Steven Sicular as vp of its Caban division.

“In this role,” said Club Monaco president and ceo John Mehas, “[Sicular] will be responsible for managing the overall business strategies to support the growth of the business. He will focus on continued design integrity within Caban while building the infrastructure necessary for sustained high performance.”

Prior to joining Club Monaco, Sicular was evp, creative development and management, at Graj + Gustavsen, a New York-based brand building agency. He had previously been vp, design, at Gap Inc. (San Francisco).

The Caban retail concept, launched in October 2000, offers home products, from tabletop, bed and bath and furniture, plus apparel. There are currently seven Caban locations in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal, with a new location in Edmonton opening in late September.

Club Monaco is owned by the Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. (New York).
