American Eagle Outfitters Inc. (Pittsburgh) announced that Chief Marketing Officer Michael Leedy will be stepping down from his role, effective Sept. 15. The company did not state why Leedy is leaving.

Retailing Today reports that Leedy has already agreed to help American Eagle in an advisory position if necessary to make the transition smoother. American Eagle has not yet found a replacement and will begin the search immediately.

Leedy has been credited by the company for establishing its “early brand DNA,” according to Retailing Today.
