Crate and Barrel Ceo Departs

Doug Diemoz exits after less than two years

Crate and Barrel (Northbrook, Ill.) CEO Doug Diemoz has left after less than two years in the position.

Formerly at Restoration Hardware (Corte Madera, Calif.), Diemoz replaced Sascha Bopp as ceo in 2015, reports The Chicago Tribune. He has also held positions at Mexx, Williams-Sonoma and The Gap.

He and Crate and Barrel were targets of a lawsuit by Restoration Hardware that alleges he was hired to bring Restoration Hardware’s food and beverage operation ideas to Crate and Barrel stores. A spokesperson told the newspaper that the suit did not play a role in Diemoz's departure.
