Tiffany & Co. (New York) announced plans to open its fourth London retail location in the exclusive Chelsea section in spring 2004. The 4200-square-foot store will be at the corner of Sloane Street and Sloane Square in the new Cadogan Estate development.

“Based on our substantial success in London, we are enthusiastic about opening another store where we can offer additional customers the distinctive jewelry design, the quality of our craftsmanship and the high level of service that Tiffany stands for,” said Tiffany president James Quinn.

The renowned jeweler and specialty retailer currently operates London retail locations in The Royal Exchange, within Harrods Department Store and its flagship on Old Bond Street. It recently reported its second quarter earnings rose 26 percent and net sales increased 18 percent over the same period last year.

“We are pleased and encouraged by our U.S. sales growth, which strengthened as the quarter progressed, as well as with the progress we are making in many international markets,” said Michael Kowalski, chairman and ceo. “We believe these results again confirm the lasting appeal of Tiffany's products.”
