Former Kmart exec to run Design Forum's new Detroit office

Greg Morck, formerly divisional vp, store planning and design, for Kmart Holding Corp. (Troy, Mich.), has been hired to run the new Detroit office of Design Forum (Dayton, Ohio) as its vp and managing director.

Morck is a 27-year veteran at Kmart. His career at the discount retailer includes stints as district store manager and store manager.

“Greg's retail experience is an asset to our team,” said Design Forum chairman and ceo Lee Carpenter. “As our client base in Detroit grows, it is essential that we have someone of his caliber there to manage the relationships.”

Design Forum's current Detroit clients include DaimlerChrysler Corp. (Auburn Hills, Mich.), Penske Corp. (Troy, Mich.) and Audi of America Inc. (Auburn Hills, Mich.).
