Lands' End merchandise to be sold in all Sears stores

Lands' End apparel will be available in all 870 full-line department stores operated by Sears, Roebuck & Co. (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) by the end of this month.

Sears purchased Dodgeville, Wis.-based Lands' End in June 2002 and introduced its merchandise in 183 stores in 10 markets five months later. In March 2003, 217 stores were added, and the rollout to Sears' remaining 470 full-line stores across the U.S. has been taking place since then.

“Sales of Lands' End apparel for men, women and children have been strong in the 400 Sears stores that began carrying the brand this spring,” said Mindy Meads, executive vp of apparel for Sears. “In fact, comparable sales for apparel in stores carrying the Lands' End brand were 2 to 4 percent better than those without.”

Lands' End merchandise also continues to be sold from its web site and via catalog sales.
