Twenty Four • Seven Inc. (Portland, Ore., design and brand communication firm) has hired Marcie Mangers as an account manager. Mangers previously worked for Nike in visual marketing and retail development.

Shopko Stores Inc. (Green Bay, Wis., department and convenience store retailer) has named Timothy Slimp director of facilities management. Slimp previously worked for Kmart in a variety of facilities management positions.

Starfire Lighting (Wood-Ridge, N.J., lighting designer and manufacturer) has hired Adam Brennan as manager, customer service.

The Society for Environmental Graphic Design (Washington, D.C., non-profit educational organization for design specialists) has elected Peter Dixon as vp of its board of directors, effective Jan. 1, 2004. Dixon is senior partner at Lippincott Mercer, a New York design and brand strategy consultancy.

Junckers Hardwood (Anaheim, Calif., hardwood flooring manufacturer and distributor) has appointed Rachel Huynh as a project sales specialist.

VGS (New York designer and producer of signs and visual marketing systems) has completed the signage for the new Port Authority PATH train station at the World Trade Center site.

Clayco Construction Co. (St. Louis construction company) is building three American retail stores in the St. Louis area. The stores, which sell consumer electronics, appliances and furniture, are scheduled to open in late summer 2004.

AdSpace Networks Inc. (Burlingame, Calif., owner and operator of digital media networks for advertising and promotions in public spaces) has incorporated its CoolSign Theater Network into the five Magic Johnson Theatres in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston and Cleveland.
