Rose Displays names creative strategist; new Indigo Palms store to open; InterContinental Hotels hires retail design firm

Management Changes:


Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates (TVS, Atlanta architecture firm) has hired Rebecca Ward as managing principal of its interiors group.

Rose Displays Ltd. (Salem, Mass., provider of signware solutions for retailers) has promoted David Pitcher to the newly created post of creative strategist.

Luxo Corp. (Elmsford, N.Y., lighting firm) has appointed David Shepard as national sales manager.

Watkins Hamilton Ross Architects Inc. (WHR, Dallas design firm) has hired Peggy Noakes, Norma Aeschliman and Rachel Windham as interior designers.

Martin Professional (Aarhus, Denmark, lighting firm) has named Henrik Holm as its business development manager in Singapore. At the company's headquarters, Villads Thomsen has been named customer care manager and Kasper Gissel has been given added duties as head of the company's area sales management team.

babystyle (Los Angeles maternity/baby brand) will open a new store in The Shops at Mission Viejo in Mission Viejo, Calif., in early August.

Royal Canadian Mint (Ottawa, Ont., minter and distributor of Canada's circulating coins) has hired Perennial Inc. (Toronto strategic retail creative company) to develop a retail brand strategy that will launch in early 2005.

Indigo Palms Denim Co. (New York apparel retailer) will open an Indigo Palms store in the Santana Row shopping center in San Jose, Calif., on Aug. 12, 2004.

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG, Atlanta hotel company) has hired Back Lot Productions Inc. (Atlanta retail design and strategic branding firm) to develop Hotel Indigo, a new concept that will include design elements that can be changed out to create a renewed environment. The first Hotel Indigo is scheduled to open in Atlanta by the end of 2004.

Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. (Chicago trade show and property management firm) announced that the 7th floor of The Merchandise Mart in Chicago has been converted to a temporary trade show floor for use at such events as NeoCon. The space previously housed the headquarters of the Chicago Transit Authority.

SoundTube Entertainment (Park City, Utah, audio speaker firm) has named Seymour Marketing (Syracuse, N.Y.) as its manufacturer's representative for Upstate New York.

Projector Wholesale Supply (PWS, Poulsbo, Wash., distributor of professional projection solutions) has been named distributor of Navitar Inc.'s Buhl Series lenses.
