Holiday Windows Review

Boston jewelry retailer Lux, Bond + Green transformed each of its windows into a tranquil winter woods setting where sparking jewels were displayed among painted oak branches embellished with Swarovski crystals, flat-back rhinestones and white doves. A suede lavender backdrop suggested the sky at dusk.

“They hint of an Asian garden housing delicate branches and dainty blossoms and evoke precious jewelry box treasures,” says Lucy-Ann Bouwman, director, Sightgeist Design (Boston), and window designer for Lux, Bond + Green’s Boston and West Hartford, Conn., windows.

Twenty-four windows were created in total for the jewelry retailer. Bouwman says the holiday windows are an opportunity for shoppers to glimpse into the heart of a store, as well as a time for visual people to express themselves. “They enable designers to hold nothing back in creating a memorable experience that stirs something inside,” she says. “They contribute to the overall magic of the season by being a true gift to the consumer.”
