Hudson’s Bay Co. (Toronto) has made two more management additions, hiring Michael Crotty as executive vp and chief marketing officer, and Russ Hardin as senior vp and chief creative officer.

Women’s Wear Daily reports that Crotty and Hardin will work at the HBC Department Store Group, which includes the Hudson’s Bay chain in Canada and Lord & Taylor in the U.S. Their responsibilities will not extend to the newly acquired Saks Fifth Avenue business.

They will work in both Toronto and New York, reporting to Liz Rodbell, newly named president of the department store group. “The new leadership will help us drive our marketing and creative efforts at Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor, as we embark on our long-term growth strategies,” she said.

Crotty has been a marketing and brand management executive at Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. Rodbell said he will be responsible for the overall marketing strategy for Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor.

Hardin’s experience includes Kohl’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Avon Products and Lord & Taylor. He has also run his own brand-development agency. Rodbell said he’ll be responsible for all creative elements for the two nameplates, and lead social media, public relations and event activities.

Crotty succeeds Marc Metrick, who became chief administrative officer. Hardin is filling a new role.
