Matri Group (San Francisco) announced its two brands – Janie and Jack and Hatch – will open their first dual-concept store in London’s Chelsea neighborhood. Janie and Jack describes itself as a fashion house for children and Hatch says it is a premium maternity fashion/beauty brand for all stages of motherhood.

“Our London opening represents more than a retail expansion — it’s a symbol of our evolving vision,” Matri Group President and CFO Mo Beig said in a press release. “We’re building a connected community that supports families from maternity through childhood where design, craftsmanship, and style come together across every stage of life.”

Located in the historic Gaumont Building on King’s Road, the store is part of a part of a $60 million-plus investment by local property manager/investor/developer Cadogan’s to revitalize the area while preserving its heritage and cultural character. (A specific opening date for the store was not released.)

The new store unites two brands with distinct aesthetics and offerings, Matri Group says, creating a curated, elevated shopping experience designed to seamlessly meet key moments in a family’s life. The Chelsea opening will also serve as both brands’ U.K. flagship presence and a as a cornerstone for future international expansion.
