JCPenney Makes Another Executive Appointment

Like others, Benjamin Fay is former Apple employee tapped to help transform department store

JCPenney Co. Inc. (Plano, Texas) named Benjamin Fay as executive vp for real estate, store design and development. Fay’s responsibilities include overseeing the remodeling of the chain's department stores, which is scheduled to begin in August.

The retailer’s plans call for dividing its stores into 100 small boutiques with a center-store gathering space.

Fay previously working at Apple Inc., leading the design team on the electronic retailer’s celebrated store environments.
