In advance of the 2022 holiday season, Kohl’s (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) has expanded its self-pickup service to all 11,000-plus stores nationwide.

The department store chain says the service prepares online orders for pickup within two hours. Email updates inform customers on their order status and guide them through the pickup process at their local store.

The expanded rollout of self-pickup, Kohl’s says, is one component of its broader omnichannel strategy. CFO Jill Timm  said during an investor’s conference in May that the retailer’s digital sales “slightly outperformed stores and represented 30 percent of net sales,” translating to about $1.04 billion in Q1 of 2022. The company recorded $3.71 billion in revenue for Q1 of 2022.
