Pop Mart (Beijing) announced it will have its first-ever float in the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and will also run a holiday pop-up shop near Macy’s Herald Square flagship. Dubbed “Friendsgiving in Pop City,” the float in the Nov. 27 parade will be anchored by 16-foot-tall inflatable sculptures of the brand’s popular Labubu and Mokoko characters.

“Our goal at Pop Mart is to light up passion and bring joy, and Macy’s Parade has been doing that for nearly a century,” Larry Lu, President of Pop Mart, The Americas said in a news release. “Bringing our characters to life at such a storied event represents a significant milestone for us as we kick off our 15th anniversary.”

In addition to the float, Pop Mart has already opened a pop-up shop adjacent to Macy’s Herald Square flagship. That 3000-square foot space, at 1 Penn Plaza (34th Street and 7th Avenue), brings the “You Found Me” series starring its Skullpanda character to life.

Pop Mart describes itself as global entertainment IP company at the intersection of art, fashion, and pop culture. Its offerings include such toy characters as the fan-favorites Labubu and Mokoko, along with Skullpanda, Peach Riot, Dimoo, Molly and Duckoo.
