Two high-profile retailers are shutting a store apiece in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, The Dallas Morning News reports. They are:

Lands’ End (Dodgeville, Wis. ), which plans to close its 5-year-old store in Frisco next month. With the store lease coming to an end “and based on the financial performance of this location only, we have made the difficult decision to close the store,” the company told the DMN. Land’s End does have another store in the market, at The Shops at Park Lane in Dallas.

Neiman Marcus, a unit of Saks Global (New York) is shuttering its store in Plano at the Willow Bend mall, but not until January 2027. The closing comes as Saks Global sold the site to developer Centennial, which plans to tear down more than a third of the mall and build a development with apartments, townhomes, retail, hotel, office and restaurant space. “Through the regular course of business, we continually evaluate our store footprint and, as in this case, may determine it necessary to reformat or close a store,” Saks Global told the newspaper. “There are currently no plans to reduce our store portfolio on a broader scale.” Neiman currently has three other stores in the market: downtown Dallas (the brand’s historic flagship that’s slated to close at the end of this year and then be repurposed to an as-yet-undecided use); NorthPark Center in Dallas and Fort Worth.
