Phil Dickinson, SVP and Global Creative Director at Lululemon (Vancouver, B.C.), has died.

Dickinson joined Lululemon last summer, shortly after the company began a major push into the footwear business. Dickinson’s career includes a 15-year stint at Nike.

Lululemon Chief Product Officer Sun Choe posted the news on LinkedIn late last week:

Among those commenting on LinkedIn about Dickinson’s passing was Simon Atkins, SVP of Footwear, who also joined Lululemon last year to help guide its shoe business. “In the short time I had the privilege to work alongside Phil, I greatly appreciated his raw honesty, his passion for driving change and his immense creativity. I’ll miss his humor and thought partnership. Rest in peace my friend x.”

Details on Dickinson’s age and date of death were not immediately available.
