MaxLite’s New Induction Canopy Luminaire Delivers 100,000-Hour Life, High Power and Performance

West Caldwell, New Jersey – Engineered for long life, high power and performance, MaxLite® introduces its Induction Canopy Luminaire. The leading marketer and manufacturer of energy-efficient lamps and lighting fixtures offers the surface mount canopy fixture for lighting parking garages, parking lots and covered public areas at schools, hospitals, hotels, office buildings and other commercial facilities.

 

Induction technology is a fluorescent lighting method where a generator produces high frequency waves inside the lamp, which induce the gas to emit UV radiation. The produced UV radiation excites the inside phosphor coating and makes it glow and produce visible white light. Requiring no electrodes, the lamp lasts up to 100,000 hours.

MaxLite’s induction fixture mounts to electrical boxes or directly to surfaces. The IP43-rated fixture is constructed with a die cast, one piece, aluminum body and a shatter- and UV-resistant polycarbonate lens that are sealed and protected against large solid objects and sprays of water. The 40-watt model delivers 2800 lumens and replaces up to a 175-watt metal halide fixture, while the 80-watt model delivers 6400 lumens and replaces up to a 250-watt metal halide fixture. The 5000K-correlated color temperature (CCT) fixture offers high output and high efficacy while using a circular-shaped induction light source. 



MaxLite's Induction Canopy Luminaire is backed by MaxLite's 10-year limited warranty, is engineered with a self-contained generator, and operates on 120- to 277-volt electrical systems.
