Miami Worldcenter, a mixed-use development in that city’s downtown, has held its grand opening. The 27-acre complex features a variety of residential, retail, commercial and hospitality uses developed by Miami Worldcenter Associates in partnership with CIM Group.

“Miami Worldcenter is a game-changing development that has revitalized a dormant and distressed area of Downtown Miami and repositioned it as a vital contributor to the community and the local economy,” Shaul Kuba, Co-Founder and Principal, CIM Group said in a news release.

The development’s retail component consists of about 300,000 square feet of pedestrian-friendly, street-level store, restaurant and entertainment space. Anchored by downtown Miami’s first Apple store, Miami Worldcenter is also home to the following retailers: The Container Store Free People, HŸP Sneakers & Streetwear, Lucid Motors, Lululemon, Posman Books, Ray-Ban, Savage X Fenty and Sephora. Slated to open soon are Bijoux et Montres, Club Studio, Openbank by Santander and SkinSpirit, among others.

The complex – which could eventually include as many as 16 high-rise towers for residential and hotel uses – is on the site of former surface parking lots and blighted properties, the developers said.
