Michael Kors (London) has promoted Anne Walsh to the position of President, North American retail, effective April 1.

Walsh, who has been at the retailer for 10 years, will take over the position from Jaryn Bloom, who will continue working with Michael Kors through June to oversee the transition. Walsh most recently served as Senior Vice President, Retail Merchandising, North America at the retailer.

“I am confident that Anne’s drive, enthusiasm and deep understanding of our business will allow us to continue to drive our retail strategy forward,” Michael Kors CEO Cedric Wilmotte said in a statement.

The announcement comes as Debra Margles, President of Michael Kors Canada, steps down from the company after 20 years. A replacement for Margles has not been announced.
