Nespresso USA has opened a two-level flagship in New York’s Flatiron district. At 13,900 square feet, the brand’s latest space at 85 Fifth Avenue is the culmination of an ongoing reimagining of its retail strategy, the company said in a news release.

The boutique’s first floor echoes Nespresso’s refreshed interior design, including a taste-and-discover zone and a mini-theater for employee-led coffee masterclasses, while the lower level features two custom-curated spaces: a hidden cup coffee bar, where new blends will be unveiled on an ongoing basis, and the Nespresso lounge, where guests can hang out and test their barista skills with self-service coffee machines.

“Our Nespresso New York City flagship is more than a boutique,” said Jason Webber, VP of Sales, Nespresso USA. “As the pinnacle of our retail strategy, it’s the first in North America to bring our vision to life, blending the elements of discovery and experience with a local NYC touch.”

Nespresso USA is a unit of Nestlé Nespresso SA (Vevey, Switzerland), which operates a global retail network of roughly 820 boutiques.
