Norco promotes Erik Rappel to COO

(PRESS RELEASE) MANHASSET, NY – General contractor, construction manager and design/builder Norco Construction promoted Erik Rappel to Chief Operating Officer. He most recently served as Norco’s Vice President of Operations, after originally joining the firm in 2017 as Senior Project Manager.

“Erik’s technical and project management expertise has immensely benefitted Norco’s clients throughout the East Coast over the past eight years. His experience in retail and commercial construction has allowed our firm to steadily grow in our firm’s main geographical markets of the Northeastern U.S. and Florida. I look forward to Erik leading Norco’s continuing expansion and mentoring our growing team of construction professionals,” said Norco CEO and President Norman O. Rijo.

Following the promotion, Rappel’s responsibilities include managing the firm’s operations and business growth, executive-level oversight of construction practices and developing long-term expansion strategies.

“Norco has established a reputation for technological and logistical excellence that allowed the firm to deliver some of the most prominent projects built in the U.S. in recent years. I am looking forward to growing the firm and leading our team of project managers, site superintendents and support personnel,” said Rappel.

Rappel brings more than 30 years of construction experience to his new position. His portfolio features in excess of 3 million square feet of completed projects, including Footlocker’s 70-site national store renovation program; a national rollout of Veterinary Emergency Group clinics, with locations completed in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida; the Starbucks at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY; the Forty Carrots restaurant at Bloomingdale’s in Palm Beach Gardens, FL; renovations and ADA upgrades to the M&T Bank’s branches in Kings Park, NY and Queens, NY; and renovations of the Pomodorino restaurant in Lake Growth, NY, Café Mendoza in Commack, NY and Salumeria Pomodoro restaurant in Huntington, NY.
