Nordstrom (Seattle) announced its plans to consolidate its store leadership to oversee both the Rack business and its department stores. Rack’s Chief Marketing Officer Scott Meden and Rack President Geevy S.K. Thomas are both retiring, according to a company press release.

The retailer has now named Ken Worzel as its new Chief Customer Officer and Jamie Nordstrom as its Chief Stores Officer, two newly created roles. Nordstrom says by streamlining its leadership and customer strategy for operations across Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom, it is aligning itself further with its “Closer to You” strategy, which strives to deliver “a more convenient and interconnected experience across its stores and digital platforms.”

Nordstrom’s CEO Erik Nordstrom says, “This new leadership structure is reflective of a natural evolution that comes directly from our focus to serve customers better across all channels and banners … it also leverages the experience of two very talented leaders, Ken Worzel and Jamie Nordstrom.”
