Nordstrom Inc. (Seattle) has announced it will launch an in-store merchandising program for The English Roses collection of girls’ apparel, footwear, rainwear, collectable dolls, teas and hot chocolate, tea sets, jewelry boxes, charm bracelets and necklaces, calendars and more. The line was developed by Signatures Network Inc. (San Francisco) for Madonna, based on the singer-actress’ children’s book, “The English Roses.”

Beginning this month, Nordstrom will create an extensive in-store program around The English Roses line, including fashion shows and tea parties.

“Nordstrom is thrilled to carry many items from The English Roses collection in our stores,” said Marci Scott, vp, kids’ wear, at Nordstrom. “We’re looking forward to events in our stores for our young customers, giving them the opportunity to see this fun, new merchandise.”

The first of five children’s books written by Madonna, “The English Roses” debuted at Number One on The New York Times Children’s Bestseller lists and was also the Number One best-seller for Barnes & Noble online.
